“Knowing that the solution would not come quickly or inexpensively, Faulkner approved the plan developed by his fixed ops managers for an apprenticeship program that pairs trainees with experienced technicians,” the article states. “Then he committed $1 million in money, manpower and equipment to a local Catholic high school to create a technician training program.
